Kahoko attends a school that has separate branches - the Normal Branch where students wear grey outfits and the Music Branch with white uniforms. The school conducts a music competition, but it's usually just the pupils from the Music Branch who take part. One day, Kahoko's fate alters when she encounters Lili, a fairy, who picks her as the only ordinary student to compete. However, the tricky part is that Kahoko lacks musical skill, until Lili confers her with a magical violin. Now, Kahoko encounters the challenge of facing her peers, conquering her adversaries, and earning respect from her fellow classmates.
