A special fan appreciation film was recently released on Square Enix's official YouTube channel, revealing an upcoming collaboration with Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, a Japanese mobile MMORPG that launched over a year ago. This exciting partnership will begin on January 1, 2017. The film features Malboro-kun, a cartoon character who flees from a terrifying monster. Yama-chan, the owner of a bar located in the immigrant district in Insomnia, comes to Malboro-kun's rescue and easily dispatches the threat. Yama-chan is also known for his signature dish, Malbo Smul, and the film gives viewers a glimpse into how he procures the meat for this tasty meal. In addition, Yama-chan's fighting style is reminiscent of a Glaive, suggesting that there might be more to him than meets the eye.
