Invited to an anniversary celebration, Kindaichi, Miyuki, and Inspector Kenmochi revisit the Opera House, stumbling upon a rehearsal of "The Phantom of the Opera". However, the festive mood swiftly transforms into a somber one when members of the acting troupe are inexplicably murdered by the elusive "Phantom". It falls on Kindaichi to apply his detective acumen to uncover the series of killings terrorizing the Opera House.
