Having to change schools seven times due to his family's paranormal powers, Kyousuke Kasuga is no stranger to being the new kid in class, despite only being in his third year of middle school. After catching the hat of a beautiful girl, he feels optimistic and hopes that he and his family can finally stop moving. However, upon arriving at his new school, Kyousuke discovers that the elegant girl he met earlier is Madoka Ayukawa, also known as "Madoka the Pick", a delinquent who smokes, drinks, and gets into fights. Alongside her is Hikaru Hiyama, a first-year who is childish and energetic, and quickly develops feelings for Kyousuke. As he tries to navigate his feelings for both girls, Kyousuke must also deal with the antics of his family's paranormal powers.
