Following a war between machines and their creators, the world is now in a post-apocalyptic state where machines have subjugated humans. Karen, the main character, leads the Resistance Group 11, a group of diverse individuals who are constantly running for their lives as they try to evade robot attacks. With the looming threat of extinction, the question arises: Is humanity on the verge of its demise? Is their fight a lost cause? Through Karen's journey, we witness the eternal battle between good and evil, empathy and apathy, and contemplate some of the fundamental aspects of humanity. The story explores the distinctions between a sentient machine and a human being and the idea of a soul.
