Kouta's amorous woes are of a peculiar nature, for inexplicably, animal spirits find him irresistible, causing him romantic troubles. Hailing from a rustic upbringing, Kouta is apprehensive about transitioning to urban life and staying with his grandmother for high school. He seeks to leave a favorable impression, but his predicament of being constantly pursued by the striking fox spirit, Chizuru, is hardly the kind of attention he craves. Unluckily, Chizuru is not alone in her pursuit of Kouta, as other yokai, such as the wolf spirit, Nozomu, and supernatural entities, have also formed an attachment to him.
