Takenashi Eri's shounen manga, published in Comic REX, tells the story of Jin, an unlucky character. He carves a statue out of a sacred tree for a school project, but when exposed to the earth outside, it turns into a girl. Nevertheless, this guardian deity is displeased that her tree was cut down and would rather live with Jin, who she vents her frustration to by cleaning "Impurities" (also referred to as squashing bugs).
