Following the disbandment of their previous musical group, Yuki and Santa, guitarist and drummer respectively, opt to establish a new band. They enlist Towa as bass player, as well as young guitarist Atsuro, and after some convincing, vocalist Sakuya. The quintet forms Lucifer and encounters hardships both in the music industry and within their relationships with each other. Their endeavors are compounded by personal troubles, such as parental opposition, and feelings of envy regarding their former bandmates' success. Among all members, Sakuya is burdened the most, as he must come to terms with his sorrowful past and navigate his romantic involvement with teenage lyricist Aine.
