Living in the suburbs of Osaka, Mikio Osawa is a typical fifth-grade student. He has feelings for his charming classmate Haruko Tezuka, but his shyness has prevented him from confessing his love to her. Unfortunately, Mikio's dear friend Megane informs him that Haruko will soon be moving away to a new town, devastating him. Kaede Newtown, a delightful romantic comedy animated series, was created by celebrated illustrator Naoto Iwakiri. Iwakiri was raised in Osaka and drew inspiration from his hometown to bring to life the lovable characters and enchanting music by Japanese band Aprils and singer-songwriter TOMOVSKY.
