For a year, Kurou Yatogami and Neko have been tirelessly searching for Shiro, also known as the Silver King, but have yet to find any trace of him. During their search, they come across two former members of the now-defunct Red Clan HOMRA, Rikio Kamamoto and Anna Kushina, who are being pursued by the Green Clan. The Green Clan desires Anna's powers, so the group must rescue her before enlisting her help to find Shiro. However, things become complicated when the Green Clan threatens to take over the territory of the Gold King, leading Scepter 4 to join the power struggle. K: Missing Kings, the second installment in the K Project series, portrays the struggles of the characters as they attempt to cope with the loss of their respective Kings in a psychic battle waged by seven monarchs.
