At the age of fifteen, Kagome Higurashi is pulled by a supernatural being into the well of her family shrine, transporting her back in time to a Japan overrun by demons. Pursued by these demons, Kagome unknowingly harbors the Shikon Jewel, a small but mighty sphere that propels the narrative forward as she navigates this unfamiliar era. There, she crosses paths with Inuyasha, a halfling whose initial animosity towards Kagome stems from a misunderstanding. Together, they embark on a journey to protect the Shikon Jewel, which has shattered into fragments, scattering across the land. Their quest is wrought with danger, as they race to reunite the pieces and safeguard the jewel from harm, all without any malicious intentions.
