Using AI and various criteria, the VENUS Program impartially evaluates idols' abilities and awards the most promising rising stars the VENUS Grand Prix. Unfortunately, Mana Nagase's career was cut short by a tragedy during the tournament finals. Years later, Kouhei Makino, Mana's ex-manager, plans to create a new idol group under Hoshimi Productions, and he interviews Kotono Nagase, Mana's younger sister, who desires to uphold her sister's legacy with Kouhei as her mentor. During the auditions, Sakura Kawasaki's singing voice strikes a resemblance to Mana's, leaving a lasting impression. After a successful evaluation, Kotono and Sakura, alongside eight other aspiring idols, move into a shared living space, where they learn the importance of teamwork and strive for stardom amidst the cutthroat idol industry.
