Hunters specialize in a variety of fields, ranging from culinary arts to treasure hunting, and have access to exclusive funding and information to pursue their passions and goals. However, becoming a hunter requires passing a grueling and dangerous exam with an abysmally low success rate. In search of his missing father, twelve-year-old Gon Freecss sets out on a journey to take the Hunter Exam. Along the way, he befriends three others who share his goal: Kurapika, driven by revenge; Leorio Paladiknight, aspiring doctor; and mischievous Killua Zoldyck, also twelve years of age. Despite the odds, the four determined hunters embark on a hazardous adventure, fighting for their dreams and the thrill of the hunt.
