As the female representative and most popular girl among the freshmen at her high school, Yukino Miyazawa has always been admired for her academic excellence, athleticism, and sociability. However, behind her facade of grace lies an incredibly conceited personality. Yukino craves attention and praise, making her rivalry with Souichirou Arima, the only person more perfect than her, all the more challenging. Despite her best efforts, she constantly fails to outshine him. Finally, after acing the midterm exams, Yukino manages to surpass Souichirou's academic performance. To her surprise, he congratulates her on her achievement, causing her to reassess her duplicitous lifestyle.
