Before going to live with her grandmother in the remote village of Kifumura, high school girl Tamki Kasuga believed that gods and ghosts only existed in fairy tales. However, her misconception is shattered when she is attacked by strange creatures upon her arrival. She soon discovers that females in her family bear the blood of the Tamayori Princess. It is their duty and power to keep gods and ghosts sealed away, preventing them from harming the public. Despite her initial skepticism, having five attractive men continually follow her and act as her guardians persuades Tamaki to believe in her role. Tamaki soon discovers that this role carries more significant responsibility and danger than she anticipated.
