While stumbling home from drowning his sorrows over unrequited love, Yoshida, a 26-year-old office worker, encounters a teenage girl named Sayu sitting alone on the roadside. In a drunken state, Yoshida decides to let her spend the night at his place, feeling too sympathetic to leave her out in the open after running away from home. Thus initiates a slightly tender, yet awkward and occasionally tensed bond between Yoshida and Sayu – a teenager on the run and a salaried man sharing a living space.
