Yuno's wished to attend Yamabuki Arts High School for years, but now that she's been accepted, the thought of leaving home for the first time scares her. Thankfully, the Hidamari Apartments' residents, who may not be related, all share a passion for art. Yuno builds her support network with helpful older sisters Hiro and Sae, her hyperactive best friend and classmate Miyako (who lives in the scariest apartment), and the other unusual characters that inhabit her new world of art, like her masculine landlady, cosplay-obsessed homeroom teacher, and tooth-chattering principal.
