Chika Homura begins her high school journey with the goal of crafting a "cute girl" image. Despite being a star volleyball player, she joins the Wind Instrument Club and chooses to play the delicate and feminine flute. After almost a decade, she reunites with her childhood friend Haruta Kamijou, who is her complete opposite, and attempts to exude more charm, but fails to persuade him. Chika falls in love with the band instructor Shinjirou Kusakabe, but Haruta is also vying for his attention. Unfortunately for Chika, her dreams of a smooth high school experience fall apart as mysteries arise around her and her club members. Together, they work to solve the school's enigmas, while also recruiting new members for musical contests.
