Living in a rural town with his parents, sister, and grandfather, Ichiro Hanada is a boisterous little boy, constantly causing chaos by teasing his sister or making impolite comments. His unruly behavior often results in his mother reprimanding him, and even the neighbors voicing their concern about his rowdiness. One fateful day, after pulling a terrible prank, Ichiro runs away from his mother and steals a bicycle, embarking on a treacherous route that ends in him getting hit by a truck. Despite requiring nine stitches to the back of his head and having to shave his head for the surgery, Ichiro miraculously survives the accident. However, he gains an ability that he does not need in his already chaotic life - the ability to see ghosts. As the only person who can communicate with them, recently deceased ghosts seek Ichiro's help to fulfill their last wishes before achieving enlightenment. Each encounter with a ghost leaves the inquisitive young boy with a new lesson, making him wiser with every adventure.
