The ability to perform miracles, known as "minimums," is not limited to the supernatural realm, but rather possessed by a select few humans. These individuals, called "Minimum Holders," are capable of performing minor miracles. In Yokohama, a detective agency by the name of Hamatora is managed by two Minimum Holders, Nice and Murasaki, who operate from their office at Cafe Nowhere and accept and solve new cases. While investigating a case, they discover an unusual pattern: every victim of their colleague Art, who is pursuing a serial killer, happens to be a fellow Minimum Holder. As Nice and Murasaki are also Minimum Holders, their involvement in the case intensifies as they ponder the link between themselves and the brains behind the killings.
