Leading the way for this imaginative undertaking was the Hachinohe Portal Museum "hacchi," found in Aomori Prefecture. Exhibiting the magnificent oceanic backdrop and day-to-day activities of Hachinohe's inhabitants, the animation is presented through the viewpoint of Hamaneko, a girl from the planet Nekoryoshka, and Kabu, an onyx-tinted seagull. The animation's approach involves the use of fabrics, and the story's cuisine is the product of Bistrot Pot d'Etain chef, Yuki Miura, hailing from Hachinohe.
