In Regild Century 1014, a thousand years have passed since the renowned Universal Century, a time when elite mobile suit pilots like Amuro Ray and Char Aznable reigned supreme on the battlefield. Nowadays, the once war-torn Earth is mostly abandoned as humans have sought refuge on space colonies and the moon's surface. Bellri Zenam is a student at the Capital Guard Academy who leads a peaceful academic life until the capture of Aida Surugan, a pirate pilot, and her G-Self mobile suit. Bellri feels an unexplainable connection with the G-Self and soon discovers he possesses the skill to helm it. However, his newfound talent throws him into conflict with the Capital Guard, a radical faction with their own mysterious motives, pushing back against the Amerian Army's control of Earth.
