Musashi resides alongside his father, as his mother departed from their lives three years prior. Despite the distance, Musashi holds onto hope that she will eventually return to them. However, things take a sudden turn when they relocate from Tokyo to a village in the countryside. Displeased with his new surroundings, Musashi urges his father to take him back to Tokyo while grappling with the possibility of his mother ever finding him again. As fate would have it, Musashi stumbles upon a man who captivates him with the art of lure fishing. Eager to learn more, he discovers that his maternal grandfather was an esteemed champion of bass fishing. Viewing it as his ticket to discovering the whereabouts of his mother, Musashi dedicates himself to the sport and soon becomes a prodigious talent with a knack for traveling around the globe in pursuit of various exotic fish. Through his journey, he finds a newfound appreciation for nature, eventually finding contentment in his country abode.
