Two years ago, the Tendoshuu infiltrated the O-Edo Central Terminal, causing the Yorozuya to disband. In preparation for Utsuro's possible return, Gintoki Sakata searches Earth's ley lines for any indications of his Altana. When faced with Tendoshuu's remaining members, who obsessively seek immortality, Gintoki returns to Edo. Eventually, the Yorozuya and reassembled Shinsengumi launch an assault on the Central Terminal. As the harvested Altana from Tendoshuu's ship becomes volatile, the group battles to safeguard Edo and the world. Seeking to protect their own futures, former students of Shouyou Yoshida unite and reminisce over their shared experiences, honoring their teacher's final wishes.
