Production I.G, an animation studio, announced on Monday its foray into the virtual reality (VR) content sector with an app titled Koukaku Kidoutai Shin Gekijou-ban Virtual Reality Diver (Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie Virtual Reality Diver). The app boasts an original story presented in 360° 3D video, requiring the use of a VR headset. A sneak-peek of three minutes from the app will be released on Google Play and App Store for Oculus Rift, with the full versions available in Japanese and English to follow shortly.
