A 55-minute featurette has been created based on the renowned manga artist Leiji Matsumoto's story, which is best known for "The Cockpit" and "Queen Emeraldas". This story, which takes place one year after the original "Galaxy Express 999" tale, follows the journey of a young boy named Tetsuro and his maternal companion Matel as they attempt to overthrow the Mechanized Empire that has taken control of Earth.
