"Kiwame Quest" marked the pinnacle of VRMMO development industry a decade ago, boasting an unprecedented ten sexdecillion branches of storylines and aiming for the ultimate in realism with humanlike NPCs and impeccably replicated sensory and physical experiences. However, its extreme realism had a double-edged impact, leading to a decline in VRMMO popularity. Presently, high schooler Hiroshi Yuuki uses full-dive RPGs as an escape since his accident a few years ago. He comes across a game shop, meeting the charming clerk Reona Kisaragi, who convinces him to buy a copy of "Kiwame Quest" to play together. Hiroshi is initially amazed by the game's realism, but soon realizes that it's causing more problems than solving, worsening his already tough life. Despite his growing frustration, Hiroshi can't resist logging on again, determined to finish the game without starting over.
