When a young witch comes of age at 15 in Makoto's tradition, it is customary for them to bid farewell to their family and explore the realm in pursuit of witchcraft knowledge and skills. Makoto, a promising young witch, readily followed this approach and journeyed to Aomori with her faithful black cat, Chito, in tow. Aomori proved to be a prime location for witches, as the land was abundant with natural beauty and mystic connectivity. Upon their arrival, Makoto's cousins, Kei Kuramoto and Chinatsu, warmly welcomed them and introduced Makoto to the world of witchcraft. Although Makoto attended the local high school, her passion for whimsical and eccentric witchcraft set her apart from her peers. She infused her daily routine with enchanted quirks and peculiarities which she eagerly shared with her loved ones – from her chance encounter with an engrossing, fortune-telling, anthropomorphic dog to her unorthodox magical training sessions with her big sister, Akane.
