Dolhr, Grust, and Gra unite forces to wage war against the other nations of Archanea and successfully conquer Altea, resulting in the death of King Cornelius. However, his son Prince Marth escapes with the help of his sister Elice's sacrifice, and seeks refuge on the peaceful island of Talys with a small group of followers. Despite enjoying the picturesque surroundings and the company of the kind-hearted Princess Caeda, Marth fears the inevitable day when he must pick up arms. This fear becomes a reality when Caeda warns him of an impending attack on their castle town. With some intense battles, Marth and his team manage to triumph and save the town. Knowing that he endangers the tranquil life on Talys, Marth decides to leave and embark on a journey to gather an army. His goal is to reclaim his kingdom, and he sets out to achieve it with renewed determination.
