Bunzou High School welcomes its new freshmen, but the Quiz Bowl Circle's leader convinces Koshiyama Shiki to join an unexpected quiz competition. Shiki is an introverted student who prefers to avoid the limelight, so he feels uneasy about participating. However, his classmate Fukami Mari impresses everyone by answering the questions with ease, and Shiki realizes that she identifies a unique clue in each question that helps her find the correct answer.
