Everywhere is a solitary North. This is my world, and these are the people I encountered across various Norths. Unfortunately, my memories are fragmented, and the essence escapes me. I am beginning to question the purpose of my efforts, as the mundane pain gradually alters its shape, signaling the existence of the world intermittently. The animated film "Dozens of Norths" is an adaptation of the cover illustrations and accompanying texts I created for the literary magazine "Bungaku-Kai" from April 2012 to December 2014. Each cover depicts a scene from a fictional movie that I envisioned, and I crafted a corresponding text to complement it. This film is a collaboration between Yamamura Animation in Japan and Miyu Productions in France. The world premiere took place at the 8th New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival on November 6, 2021.
