The 36th movie in the Doraemon franchise retells the plot of the 1989 film Doraemon: Nobita no Nippon Tanjou. Once again, Nobita longs to escape his home, but all available lands have already been claimed. Doraemon and their companions also wish to leave, and the only option they find is to travel back in time to a period before humanity inhabited the land. On their journey, they meet a prehistoric boy who requires their help in freeing his tribe from the grasp of Gigazombie.
