Due to modern technology, the "Digital World" has emerged as a virtual realm inhabited by life forms known as "Digital Monsters." These creatures are under the supervision of Yggdrasil, a computer entity overseeing different sections of the digital domain. However, Yggdrasil has launched the X Program, aiming to obliterate all existing Digimon and create a new Digital World solely designed for particular species. Consequently, this has become the most critical crisis in the Digital World's history. The Royal Knights, who have pledged to safeguard the Digital Worlds, are now on a quest to find a new kind of Digital Monster, the X-Digimon. In contrast, Yggdrasil is fully dedicated to Project Ark, a plan to replenish the Digital Worlds by generating new Digimon, but at the expense of all other digital life forms. Amid this turmoil, the X-Digimon endeavors to conserve all Digimon while also seeking answers about its own purpose. In doing so, it will undoubtedly transform the Digital Worlds permanently.
