The animated series, Di Gi Charat, was initially produced as an advertising venture for the "Digital Gamers" store in Akihabara. It chronicles the daily adventures of Dejiko, the princess of Di Gi Charat planet, along with her comrades, Puchiko and Gema, and her nemesis, Rabi~en~Rose, as they navigate the challenges of their employment at Gamers. As the story goes, Princess Di Gi Charat arrived on Earth disguised in a cat cap and outfit, accompanied solely by her guardian, Gema, and her friend, Petite Charat. Lamentably, she had no funds to her name. Fortunately for the trio, they chanced upon the manager of Gamers, who offered them accommodation in exchange for their labor. However, Di Gi Charat's aspirations of stardom and self-centered tendencies often come into conflict with her responsibilities.
