At first, it seemed like an ordinary day for Ganta Igarashi and his peers as they readied themselves for an instructive trip to Deadman Wonderland. Little did Ganta know that this visit would change his life forever. Within moments of their arrival, a malevolent figure in scarlet slaughtered the entire class. Being wrongfully accused and sentenced to death, Ganta is sent to the very same prison he was supposed to tour. But his struggles have just begun. Ganta must navigate through a world of savage prisoners and obscure abilities while living in constant anxiety due to the dangerous choker fitted about his neck, which can only be slowed by surviving the prison's deadly games.
