Although Kokonotsu's father operates a charming candy store in a distant locality with the hope of passing it down to his son, Kokonotsu desires to pursue a career as a manga writer. During one summer, a unique and charming delegate from a famous confectionery enterprise, Shidare Hotaru, suddenly arrives, amazed by Kokonotsu's father's skills and soliciting his cooperation in their family enterprise.
