Violence portrayed in both the Cowboy Bebop series and Japanese schools led to a temporary halt in the show's production. In lieu of a proper ending for the first thirteen episodes, a compilation of clips titled "Session XX: Mish-Mash Blues" was created. Although it aired on TV Tokyo on June 26, 1998, it never made it to the DVD release. This episode featured characters engaging in a philosophical debate and ended with the declaration, "This Is Not The End. You Will See The Real 'Cowboy Bebop' Someday!"
