Ever since her father depleted their finances and vanished, Kanae Otowa has been living in her family's ancestral home, Otowakan mansion. But now, the mansion is at risk of being seized due to her father's debts. To save it, Kanae must evict her companions, including her friend Sousuke Kagura, and two strangers who claim to be her father's associates: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven, who have adopted quirky aliases, "Motes" and "Beethes," after being resurrected and engaging in nonsensical activities unrelated to music. Desperate to save her home, Kanae becomes acquainted with Musik, an unearthly power that can prevent Otowakan from destruction and thwart her eviction. Beethes, who initially resists leaving, becomes the first to discover this mystical force, and his new knowledge attracts other Musik users like Frédéric Chopin, Franz Liszt, and Franz Schubert to the mansion. However, Kanae soon realizes that not all Musik users have pure intentions. One such individual is Johann Sebastian Bach, whose Musik powers he plans to misuse from a high-rise perch.
