Rifle-shooting is a widely popular sport in Japan, where guns are banned, and it requires participants to display their accuracy and precision using rifles. The competition's dominion is majorly held by members of the defense force, and the sport's popularity has increased recently, especially among the younger generation, owing to the use of light beam rifles. In fact, it has even led to school competitions.
The Chidori High School rifle-shooting club, which had been disbanded due to a lack of interest, is given a new lease of life by a determined new student, Hikari Kokura. Despite the club's previous lack of success, Hikari, who is passionate about marksmanship, decides to set up a new club. She persuades three members to join the newly formed club, including her childhood friend, Izumi Shibusawa, Erika Meinohama, who is half Russian, and the stoic Yukio Igarashi.
With their ambition set on national success, the Chidori Rifle-Shooting Club sets out to compete at a national level.
