The people of Yggd, a secluded continent, believed that there was nothing beyond their landmass. In Yggd, various regions existed, each with its own ruler. Disagreements among them were trivial, since a lord, picked by the kings in a council, always maintained order. However, everything changed when the villainous Black Army marched in. Yuri, leading the Volunteer Army, was incapable of stopping the Black Army's advance. The scuffle ensued, resulting in the capture of the capital and nearly half of the Chain Chronicle, by the ruler of the Black Army.
