The setting of the film takes place on an advanced Aegis ship, in collaboration with Japan's legitimate Ministry of Defense and Maritime Self-Defense Force. The discovery of a dead Self-Defense Force member, missing their left arm, and the infiltration of a spy on board the Aegis vessel puts the protagonist, Ran, in peril. To combat the treacherous Spy "X," Conan is compelled to take action.
