Maria Oosawa, a Japanese photographer, is currently based in Shanghai, China. She works with her partner, Mino, hunting for captivating news stories in the city. During a local festival, they stumble upon some strange events and decide to investigate. That's when they get pulled into a dangerous conflict involving masked culprits and a mysterious white-haired woman. Maria finds herself caught in the middle of the tense skirmish when an old acquaintance, Canaan, shows up to rescue her. As they work to thwart a nefarious plot centered around a lethal virus, Canaan realizes that confronting her past is the key to saving her friends and stopping the scheme.
