The Earth was attacked by an evil alien entity known as Dryus. Fighbird, leader of the Space Patrol, pursued Dryus to our planet and merged with a Dr. Amano-designed android named Hidori Ryutaro to combat the foe and protect Earth's peace. Despite appearing like an ordinary individual, Fibird's alien side influenced his behavior, which deviated from typical human norms. He typically assisted Dr. Amano in an unkempt white coat and glasses but transformed into a drastically different persona when confronting enemies.
