The legend of Aoki Densetsu Shoot! (or Shoot!) follows the journey of Toshihiko Tanaka, Kenji Shiraishi, and Kazuhiro Hiramatsu - three inseparable high school freshmen who developed a strong bond through their passion for soccer. Back in their junior high years, they formed the Kakenishi golden trio, leading their school's soccer squad to a top contender status. With their eyes set on continuing their journey together, they enrolled at Kakegawa High - a newly-founded institution solely based on the talent of its star player and the boys' idol, Yoshiharu Kubo. Kubo's brilliant performance helped the Kakegawa High Soccer Club earn a spot in the best 8 of their prefecture with a freshmen-only team. Despite offers from professional soccer clubs abroad, he opted to stay and lead his team to the All-Japan High School Championship alongside his three friends. As they embark on this journey, they face numerous challenges that test their skills, love lives, and resilience. But with hard work and determination, they strive to become the top Japanese high school soccer team - a team that will make history.
