SUMMARY
The Tezuka Osamu World in Kyoto Station Bldg features original short animated films playing at the "300 Inch Theater," along with a two-picture show highlighting major Manga animated films and historic episodes of Kyoto. The Phoenix serves as the narrator, introducing two films and discussing themes. One film, "Old Woman" from "Black Jack," explores the depth of love one can have during one's lifetime. The story follows a seemingly selfish old woman, who constantly asks her daughter-in-law for money. Her family becomes frustrated with her, leading to constant fights and turmoil. However, Black Jack learns of the old woman's history, and how she spent her entire life paying for her son's medical treatment. The son, unaware of his mother's sacrifice, comes to understand and appreciate her love. The Phoenix concludes by explaining how only love that values life can last forever, and tells a story about the move of the capital to Heian.
