The absence of their deceased mother and their father's mounting debts have left Kyou and Asu Yamada to fend for themselves. Fortunately, they have a small room in an old apartment that can accommodate both of them. However, the burden of ensuring their survival falls on Kyou, who juggles multiple part-time jobs while ensuring that both sisters can continue their education.
