Before the first five Pokemon movies aired in theaters, a concise introduction was presented. The Japanese version had a standard narrator, while Brock provided the English narration. Its aim was to introduce the audience to the "Pokemon world" as well as to update them about Ash Ketchum's exploits. The introduction featured modified sections of animation from the initial episode.
