The emergence of "Aragami," monsters that are immune to conventional weapons, is driving humanity to the brink of extinction in 2071. These beasts consume all that lay in their path, wreaking havoc throughout the land. In a final attempt at preserving humanity, Fenrir, an organization, introduces "God Eaters" into the fray — humans infused with Oracle cells who wield the only weapon that can defeat an Aragami: the God Arc. Lenka Utsugi is among these God Eaters, a New-Type blessed with a special God Arc that functions as both a blade and a gun. Coupled with his unique weapon and status as one of Fenrir's elite, Lenka must learn to harness his God Arc to annihilate the Aragami completely. With masses of Aragami still spawning and posing a threat to human existence, the fate of mankind rests solely in the hands of the God Eaters.
